The next Arachne Meeting will be Thursday, April 1. Amelia Garripoli will be the guest speaker and her topic is "Drum Carding A-to-Z: cover the basics and build your skills for creating terrific batts with wool, silk, mohair, and more." The meeting will begin promptly at 10am (be on time :-) ) and the lunch will be pot luck.
Amelia says there's no need for anyone to bring anything. If people have questions about how to card particular fibers or want to see them done, they can bring them, as long as it's washed (not raw fleece). And on the outside chance they want to bring their own drum carder because they have hands-on questions about it, they are welcome to (they can just bring their questions without the d.c., questions are lighter than carders :-) )
She will bring two carders and a variety of fiber and add-ins, so if folks want to dive in and try as well, they can. And she will also have some of her lovely spindles for sale.
